In-person Instruction Begins for Fall 2020

With the first full week of in-person instruction underway at UNC Charlotte, there is a bit more life on campus and in the classrooms and laboratories. In-person classes are being held for specific areas of instruction, including engineering, with many of the classes being a hybrid mix of in-person and virtual instruction.

UNC Charlotte has reached record enrollment this fall, with a more than 30,000 students, making us the second largest university in North Carolina. New fall 2020 students include approximately 4,000 freshmen, 2,600 transfers and 2,400 graduate students.

Enrollment in the Lee College of Engineering for the fall is 3,769, consisting of 3,199 undergraduate and 570 graduate students. There are 567 new freshmen and 222 transfer students. Total enrollment for fall 2019 was 3,698.
