University Donor Recognition and Impact

Donor Recognition and Impact

Dedicated alumni, faculty, staff, parents, companies, foundations and friends help UNC Charlotte reach its goals every day. This support empowers deserving students, transforms their experiences, ensures our students and this region have access to world-class faculty and builds meaningful and impactful programs for our students and the region. View our Annual Giving Donor Impact Report for 2016 to see just some of the ways your contribution impacts UNC Charlotte.

UNC Charlotte recognizes our most generous supporters through membership in University-wide giving societies: the 1946 Society, the Bonnie Cone Society, the Chancellor’s Society, the Crown Society, and the Colvard Society. Created to honor the important role that donors play in our success, these societies recognize and inspire new levels of philanthropy.

The 1946 Society recognizes donors who have given to the University for three or more consecutive years.

The Bonnie E. Cone Society, named in honor and memory of UNC Charlotte’s founder, Bonnie Cone, honors those who have made a planned gift to UNC Charlotte. Within the Bonnie E. Cone Society is the Witherspoon Circle, which signifies donors that have made planned gifts of $1,000,000 or more.

The Colvard Society, named in honor and memory of UNC Charlotte’s first chancellor, Dr. Dean Colvard, honors those who have given more than $1 million in their lifetime to UNC Charlotte.

The Crown Society honors those who have given $100,000 or more to UNC Charlotte over their lifetime.

The Chancellor’s Society recognizes those who have given $25,000 or more to UNC Charlotte over their lifetime.
